FASTING MONTH

The month of holy Ramadan enjoys a special importance in the Islamic calendar. As Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said: "It is Allah's Own month." It is the chief of all months and the most glorious one. As we already know, 'Fasting' is one of the important pillars of Islam and it is the very month of Ramadan during which fasting has been made obligatory for all adults and sane Muslims. By fasting during Ramadan, a Muslim besides discharging an obligation imposed upon him by Allah (SWT), becomes entitled to great reward in the Hereafter.

On the other hand, any lapse in the matter amounts to a great sin. Fasting is an article of worship, the knowledge about the performance or otherwise whereof rests only with Allah (SWT) and the person concerned. Hence, it is Allah (SWT) alone who will reward that person for it, on the Day of Judgment.

A CAPTURE AFTER GET THE PIS II MEDAL

JOHORE - PINGAT IBRAHIM SULTAN (II) MEDAL

ALHAMDULILLAH, ALL PRAISE
AND GLORY BE FOR ALLAH SWT

What can I says?.....starting with this Ramadhans Month, perhaps will bring some good luck to me and family. Firstly ending the month of Syaaban I accept a gift The PIS II Medal by The King Of Johore.

As I stand in Istana Besar Johor Bahru to accept the medal that Thursday afternoon, reflecting upon 20 - 30 years as a small kid, I never dream a life like this. As a Kampong Boy, our life so simple just need some food to eat and enjoyable as small kid.

That I were here today, is a small miracle born out of maybe little hard works, easy right leaders, prayers and blessing from Allah SWT . And yet , much has happened since then. May be it a not big enough for some one else, but it meaning really big for me and family.

For all my friends thanks a lot for all your support untill I can get once.

GREEN DRAGON FLY

WHEN I WAS SMALL....
I ALWAYS SAW THIS DRAGON FLY
FLYING AROUND MY SMALL POND
IN FRONT OF MY CUTE HOUSE

" "

AS A SMALL KID, ME AND MY FRIENDS TRY TO CATCH THEM ( TO BE THEIR GOOD FRIEND AND WILL TAKE CARE OF THEM)

" "

SO....THAT VERY EASY WAY WANT TO CATCH THEM
FIRST YOU - TAKE A STICK
( NORMALLY WE USE MAMA'S BROOM )
MADE FROM COCONUT LEAF
PUT A LITTLE BIT MILK OF NANGKA TREE (GETAH NANGKA)
AT THE END OF THE BROOM'S STICK

" "

AND COME CLOSED TO THE THEM
NORMALLY IT QUIET HANGING ON THE GREEN OF GRASS
JUST TOUCH YOUR STICK TO THEIR BODY..
THEY'LL BE TRAPPED
AN SOON....TO BE YOUR FRIEND

" "
BUT TAKE CARE..IT SOMETIME WILL BITE YOU A LITTLE BIT

( But as kampung boys not just bite by Dragon Fly, stung by Savage Bee it a normally thing for us. Life more beautiful in a small kampung if you faced a big trouble )

NOTE : DON'T TRY THIS WAY TO CATCH A DRAGON FLY .
IT JUST A PAST SAD STORIES ABOUT OUR GREEN WORLD.

HOW TO GROOM YOUR GARDEN ?

IN A TROPICAL GARDEN
A WOOD AND STONE BE A MAIN MATERIAL

Growing a Garden on a Small Space

With well planning, a small balcony can offer some of the same amenities as a garden in the ground: lush foliage, colorful flowers — even vegetables. A small balcony garden has plants up front and up close where you can appreciate it. Plants provide seasonal interest and a bit of privacy, and you still have room for outdoor dining and relaxing.

A balcony offers a host of gardening challenges — no soil, perhaps too much shade or too much sun, and difficulty in bringing water to the garden. Don't give up your gardening dreams, however. You can grow a balcony garden if you keep the following in mind:

  • Create a focal point. The focal point in this plan is a small tree or standard (a shrub trained as a small, single-trunk tree). For extra color, underplant the tree with trailing spring or summer-blooming annual flowers (pansies, lobelias, marigolds, petunias, and so on).
  • Use window boxes. Fasten window boxes to your balcony's railing, so that they're viewable from indoors or from outside. Use them to create more privacy or to frame a view. Change plantings in the window boxes seasonally by growing annuals in the summer and stuffing the boxes with greens and dried-berry plants for winter and the holidays.
  • Grow container plants. Colorful pots of annuals provide surprising amounts of flower color at close range. Water draining from the containers can stain the balcony surface or drip on your neighbor below — keep saucers under the pots.
  • Don't forget veggies. Squeeze herbs and vegetables into your balcony garden. To save space, train climbers, such as cucumbers and tomatoes, on teepees or in cages.
  • Install an outdoor faucet. Consider installing an outdoor faucet to avoid the tedium of watering with a watering pot.

Size (not too tall or spreading) and maintenance (not too demanding) are your main considerations when making plans for a balcony garden. Also check on your sun and shade exposure throughout the day.

The following small trees and shrubs need sun most of the day and could serve as a focal point on a balcony garden:

  • Camellia (needs shade in hot climates)
  • Crape myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica)
  • Hibiscus (standard)
  • Japanese black pine (Pinus thunbergi)
  • Japanese maple (Acer palmatum)
  • Palms (indoor/outdoor)
  • Tree rose (Rosa )
Hope you can try for your own garden, make it cool looking and be a nice place to hide.

IT ABOUT MY OLD BIKE

ME AND MY MERAH

This story about my old bike - MERAH. In 1966 - It a one sad story. My abah bought this bike from someone, the price around RM25.00. I love it very much. My abah always take me ride on Merah along the street in kampung after school time. I wash it everday, even I can't ride it because I'm still young and short. After a few year. One day, abah going broke. He sold Merah to someone. When I'm going back from school, I ask abah where Merah?. My abah told me Merah was sold. I cried louder and take long time to stop. The solucition to stop me crying abah give me a belt.

Untill now I still rembember Merah, but at this time my abah bike collection added. Because you know why? Merah is my first bike we have.

Kris or Keris is a kind of Malay's weapon. It use for defense himself and family from invader to attack them. Normally in a Malays houses they will hanging the kris on the wall. In this position the kris will be functional use by anybody in the house at anytime when they need it.

Most of Malays have a few kris in their house. The name of kris always diffrent according their own functional. Like kris (as in a photo) the name is Keris Surabaya the name given because it made from Surabaya, Indonesia. It functional as a symbol the owner of the house. It meaning a wealth, though and kind person.

The handle of the kris made from wood ( like meranti, nyatoh and etc. local wood ) and the blade from iron . Whatever the kris was, it just a symbol of a Malays life and their kind of culture. But now days, kris just a one of the decoration in Malaysian houses even they Malays or what any kind of race.

MANUKAN ISLAND - SABAH

During a holiday trip to Sabah, the first thing in my mindset is to visit one of hundred island of them. The nearest island form KK is Manukan and Mamautih Island. With a fare around RM21.00 included boat fare, island tax and etc. actually is very reasonable price for us to be there.

Early in a morning around 9.00 a.m., my team was in Jesselton Point ready to explore Manukan Island. But it take a long time to have one boat to reach there, because a lot of people that day. They all want to reach before the afternoon.

Even this is a sixth time visited Sabah, I never reach at any island in Sabah before. A journey with 9 seated boat, about 25 minutes to Manukan Island make some of our guy get sea sickness. It must be funny. Lot of people will be drunk of the beer, but my men gone drunk with sea sickness. Ha..ha ... look tough enough but they flat than.

Very pity Manukan Island, there no coral and marine life look actrractive. Infect if you want to see a little bit of coral color it all gone with evolution of the development in Manukan Island. So what can you see in a Manukan Island? is just a normal scenery with white mermaid hanging a round on the white sand a long the seashore. Some of them with topless, and other all less - upside down. For me just bottomless under water while diving into the blue deep sea.

Spend a few hour in Manukan Island make me tired soon with swimming, explore into the deep sea. Our lunch that afternoon meal just maggie mee only with RM4.00 for a bowl. Because that day a lot of tourist landed in the island. What to do? Something is better than nothing.

On the way back from the Manukan Island, I my mind - a lot of thing was missing there. Especially is a nature marine life. Life as it goes…. as my heart said – “If you need something new, you will lost you old love one”.
Thank you to all blogger for visit my blog today. Until than, in the next story about my journey next time in Vietnam may be…so soon. LIFE AS IT GOES….
